This term, we are thinking about ‘Houses and Homes’. We began by thinking about our own houses and homes. We have been thinking about materials used to build houses, and why some materials are better than others. The Three Little Pigs has been a focus story, and we have enjoyed acting out the story. We are also going to make a house made of sweets, cake and biscuits, when we read ‘Hansel and Gretel’!! Just before the February holiday, we have been lucky enough to borrow a Teepee from the Girl Guides. This will help us learn about the Native American Indians, and how they lived.
